The wrapper itself does not affect the sound. It is transparent. The plugins loaded inside the shell (C6, CLA-76, SSL Channel, etc.) sound fantastic. They are industry standards for a reason. The wrapper is simply the delivery truck—the truck doesn't change the quality of the cargo, but if the truck breaks down (crashes), you can't access the plugins. If plugins are missing, perform a "Clear cache and rescan" in your DAW settings. Waves Central: Instead, they use a "Shell" file
Being a VST3 plugin, it benefits from the format's improved technical capabilities, including better multicore processor support and a more intuitive interface.
Sometimes a DAW will show both the VST2 and VST3 versions of Waves plugins, causing clutter.
Ensure the file is located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 .
