From the stages of its UNESCO-honored theaters to the ice rinks of its national hockey tournaments and the film sets of its world-famous studios, the Czech amateur is a driving force. They are storytellers, athletes, artists, and innovators who perform not just for a prize, but for the sheer love of the craft. In the Czech Republic, the spirit of the amateur is, in every sense, a national treasure.

While amateur photographers might not directly contribute to the economy in significant financial terms, they do contribute to tourism and local businesses through the promotion of local sites and events.

With more and more Czech riders turning professional, there is a risk that some may become lost in the system, struggling to adapt to the pressures of top-level competition.
